Castle Group, Florida’s choice for community management, is proud to announce that Castle Group’s Founder and CEO, James Donnelly, and Director of Community Relations, Cathy Donnelly, have been named 2016 Laureates for Junior Achievement of South Florida Business Hall of Fame.
The Junior Achievement of South Florida Business Hall of Fame honors community leaders whose record of business achievement demonstrates business excellence, vision and innovation, inspiring and courageous leadership, and community responsibility. Laureates are chosen by previous honorees.
The Donnellys have long worked with the Junior Achievement of South Florida to contribute to its efforts of bringing the real world to students through hands-on curriculum delivered by a trained classroom volunteer.
“James and I consider it an honor to be a part of Junior Achievement,” said Cathy Donnelly. “Our children went through the program in elementary school and we both volunteered as presenters for Junior Achievement in our sons’ classrooms, so we feel we have come full circle. Junior Achievement is a critical piece of the education puzzle in Broward County and we feel strongly that it must be supported.”
This will be Junior Achievement of South Florida’s 21st Annual Event and will be held on April 19, 2016, with over 400 in attendance. The evening will include a cocktail party followed by a ceremony for the 2016 Laureates.
About the Junior Achievement of South Florida
Junior Achievement of South Florida was founded locally in 1959 by the Fort Lauderdale Rotary Club and served just 373 high school students during its first year. Programs now span grades K-12, with age-appropriate curricula designed to teach elementary students about their roles as individuals, workers, and consumers and to prepare middle grade and high school students for key economic and workforce issues they will face. Junior Achievement programs reached over 48,000 Broward and south Palm Beach County students during the 2014-2015 school year.
