Castle Group’s Hope Diaz has been named one of the 100 Outstanding Women of Broward County. This will be the Tenth Annual event bringing the community together to celebrate the growth of women’s role in leadership – in business, community and philanthropic fields.
Diaz has been a part of Castle Group for four years, joining the company in 2013 as Executive Assistant to Castle’s Founder and CEO, James Donnelly. Shortly thereafter, Hope joined CastleCares® – the philanthropic arm of Castle Group that is dedicated to improving the lives of children and families in Florida. While a member of CastleCares®, Hope has spearheaded a number of charity drives and events. In 2016, Hope led a prom dress drive for students of Miami Edison Sr. High School, collecting 75 gowns for “Castle’s Day of Caring”. In 2017, she organized a shoe drive, gathering 120 pairs of new shoes to benefit foster children in Broward county. Additionally, Hope serves as the Team Lead for Castle’s Group’s annual “Dress Down for Cancer Research Day” – a cause that, as a cancer survivor herself, Diaz holds very dear.
Mrs. Diaz balances these responsibilities in addition to fulfilling her role as Executive Assistant to James and Cathy Donnelly. “Hope is a ‘Wonder Woman’!” said Director of Community Relations Cathy Donnelly upon learning of the honor. “Not only does she provide exceptional support to everyone in the company; she lends her skills to causes that impact thousands of children and families throughout the state of Florida.”
“Being named one of the 100 Outstanding Women of Broward County is a tremendous honor,” replied Mrs. Diaz. When asked what words of encouragement she would give to young women striving to also be outstanding, Hope replied: “Focus. Be determined. Be confident. And be empowered… Women who are truly strong lift others up; and women who are truly outstanding bring others together.”
The Tenth Annual 100 Outstanding Women of Broward County event will occur on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at the Signature Grand in Davie, Florida. All proceeds of the event will benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County. For more information about the event, please visit: www.100outstandingwomen.com
