Castle Group, Florida’s choice for community association management, is excited to announce the induction of Cathy Donnelly, Director of Community Relations, into the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County Hall of Fame. The induction took place on Saturday, April 28, 2018 during the 51st Annual Dinner Auction at the Signature Grand in Davie, Florida.
Cathy is the former Chairman of the Boys & Girls Club of Broward County and an active board member since 2004. Together with Susan Burkhardsmeier and a team of dedicated women, she formed the Keep It Simple Service (K.I.S.S.) Program in 2004 helping to fill a need of food insecurity and nutrition education for children in neighborhoods of promise. The Snack and Supper initiative continues to provide free nutritious snacks and hot supper to every member Monday to Saturday. It also strives to have a lasting impact by introducing children to new, healthy foods they will continue to incorporate in their diets into adulthood.
BGCBC has served over 4.8 million snacks and meals since the programs’ inception. “I am proud of the work being done at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County to maintain and enhance this program. Our children deserve to know that they will have a nutritious meal each day,” says Cathy.
