Plantation, FL – March 31, 2021 – Castle Group, the premier choice for property management, held its 7th annual Castle’s Month of Caring in March. Month of Caring is a month-long event in which Castle’s 1,900 teammates along with family members, friends, and residents at properties managed by Castle Group volunteer their time and donate goods and services statewide. Over the past 11 years, CastleCares®, the firm’s philanthropic division, has continued to offer various opportunities to encourage volunteerism within the company. Month of Caring focuses on donating one’s time and talent to social causes that benefit those in our community that need us the most and encourage employees to take a hands-on approach to making a difference.
CastleCares® partnered with multiple non-profit organizations for this event to offer teammates a broad spectrum of volunteer opportunities. Activities included tracking walking to encourage wellness and benefit the American Heart Association. A dance challenge to benefit the Children’s Miracle Network at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital was also held and several statewide drives to collect, diapers, food, clothing, and even blankets for the homeless! Thousands of steps were taken, numerous dance videos submitted, and countless pounds of food, diapers, wipes, clothing, and blankets were collected by team leaders and participants and delivered to communities statewide. Other charities served included Miami Diaper Bank, Broward Outreach Center, CareBag, and more.
“With COVID-19 affecting so many this past year it was our goal to focus on activities that would promote overall wellness, both mentally and physically, and food insecurity during Month of Caring,” said Cathy Donnelly, Director of Community Relations. “I’d like to thank our team leaders, teammates and residents who came together to show their support to our friends and neighbors during this challenging time,” she added. Castle’s Month of Caring truly promotes the company’s core values by demonstrating to employees how much positive change they can make in other people’s lives.
