Beth Miller – Business Development Manager for the Palm Beach County region is a nominee for the Soroptimist International of Boca Raton/Deerfield Beach Club’s 44th Annual Women of Distinction Awards. The “Women of Distinction” event has many purposes. In addition to being the club’s largest charity fundraiser of the year, Soroptimists seek to honor women who give back to society through leadership, volunteerism, professionalism, and education.
Regular members of Soroptimist International do not nominate candidates. Rather, the organization calls upon community leaders to identify outstanding women, and nominate them for the honor. Ms. Miller was nominated by Aid for Victims of Domestic Abuse (AVDA) of Delray Beach, whose mission is to promote violence-free relationships and social change by offering alternative choices to end domestic abuse.
“Volunteering is a top priority for me. I firmly believe no matter how many hours of time and talent you have available to donate, you can make a difference and have a positive impact on others in the community” Miller said. “I hope to inspire others to get involved with organizations that could greatly benefit from their contributions.”
In addition to volunteering with AVDA, Miller is Treasurer of the Board of Directors for the Coalition of Boynton West Residential Associations, representing 113 residential communities and 145,000 residents in Greater West Boynton; President of Colony Preserve Homeowner Association; has served as Auction Chairperson for the Beit Blumi Early Childhood Center and has been active with the Banyan Creek Elementary School PTA. She has most recently become involved with Families First of Palm Beach County and Castle Cares. Miller has her BBA from the University of Miami and her MBA from Florida Atlantic University.
“I am very proud of Beth’s volunteer efforts in the community. She puts forth immense effort towards all that she does” said Jordan Goldman, Castle Group Vice President of Business Development. “Beth’s enthusiasm for giving back embodies the Castle Cares mission, which is to serve children and families in need throughout Florida.”
Finalists for the Women of Distinction Awards will be announced at the Soroptimist International of Boca Raton/Deerfield Beach Club’s 44th annual Woman of Distinction breakfast, scheduled for October 18, 2017 at Boca West Country Club.
