Castle Group, Florida’s choice for community association management, has been featured in a new book called the People First Effect which presents the seven keys for mastering high trust in a low trust world. The book is the sequel to author Jack Lannom’s first book, aptly titled People First. In the sequel, Lannom interviews highly successful leaders from industries ranging from aerospace supplies and biomedical technology to retail furniture and personal care products. Each leader covers one major key to developing trust in their organization – Character, Competence, Confidence, Caring, Communication, Consistency, and Commitment.
“The book is written as a parable and chapter seven features Castle Group’s story of how we built our organization based on competence,” says James Donnelly, Founder & CEO. Donnelly points out how his organization emphasizes competence in several ways. One of the ways rests in the foundation of the company. “Two of our company’s three founders are accountants.” says Donnelly. “We started this property management business that leverages our competence in finance, and today we highlight that.”
With over 30 years in the property management industry, Castle prides itself on its customer service program called Royal Service. “The essence of Royal Service is that every time one of our team members interacts with a resident of one our buildings or one of their guests, it should be a special moment in that person’s day” says Donnelly.
With multiple awards across Florida — the Good to Great award from the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce and the Diamond Level award winner from the Florida Community Association Journal, Castle Group has experienced sustainable growth. By investing in the competence of its employees, developing proprietary systems, and tying the best people and systems together with the best technology, Castle has become one of the largest privately held companies in Florida to date.
